2010-2011 EKFH Board of Directors

Linda Berukoff, Chair - Linda is a  retired BC Hydro Engineering Technologist.  She is known for her commitment and dedication to her career and to many of the volunteer activities she pursues.    Linda skill set as an organizer, presenter and educator compliment her role as Chair.  Her role as chair is complimented with work through the BC Hydro HYDRECS program and the local Crimestoppers Chapter.

Sheilah Moore,  1st Vice Chair - Intelligent, concise and effective are the words that best describe Sheilah.  As a retired educator with the College of the Rockies, Chair of the Cranbrook & Restorative Justice Program and avid Rotary member Sheilah brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to EKFH.  Ask for volunteers on any of the fundraising activities or committees and you will undoubtedly see Sheilah's name on the top of the list.  

Brian Clifford, 2nd Vice Chair - Brian brings a solid skill set of in administration, negogiating skills, councilling, trouble shooting, and facilitiation makes him a welcomed newcomer.  Brian brings vast experience in overall management and stratetgic planning as well as a dedication to team work.  

Lynn Armstrong, Treasurer- Lynn has previous work experience in health care in the Elk Valley and enjoys volunteerism.  She has a strong knowledge of fund accounting, general accounting and administration.  She is currently working with the Ktunaxa nation.

Cindy Yates, Director - This independent financial advisor and broker has been with the board for several years.  Cindy directs the Finance & Investment team and is well-versed in the opportunities available for our charitable society.  A busy family live and other volunteer activity does not deter Cindy from her involvement on the board. 

Colin Sinclair, Director - A former captain of the Kootenay ICE hockey team and co-captain of Team Canada at the World University Games, Colin brings insights into youth leadership to the board of EKFH.   Recognized nationally from his university and the WHL for scholastic achievement in the field of finance and investment Colin has just recenlty joined the group of BMO Nesbitt Burns.

Don MacMillan, Director - With a desire to give back to his community and join a great group of individuals committed to health care Don joins us with a varied career backgrounds.  Formerly with the RCMP and the the Kootenay ICE, Don's passion for helping people is evident.  With extensive experience in marketing and sales Don is sure to bring a new view to the fundraising activities at EKFH.

Jim Tarves, Treasurer - As the former Financial Administrator for the Regional District of East Kootenay, Jim brings a wealth of supoprt to EKFH's finance and investment portfolios combined with a solid understanding of strategic business planning. 

Judy Gall, Director  - Judy is a centennial graduate from the former Edmonton General Hospital. A retired RN she found herself at the regional hospital since 1975 where she has filled several capacities as an emergency and oncology RN as well as a department manager.  Judy's enthusiasm, encouragement and support for foundation work make her an excellent addition to the board.

Michael Christianson, Director - A former Chair of the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation in Kamloops. Michael brings experience and knowledge in respect to health foundations.  As a financial advisor for Sunlife, he understands the benefits of Planned Giving programs for not only the foundation but for its donors.   His time with RIHF exposed him to many successful fundraising activities which he readily shares and encourages new ideas.  

Sara Boutin, Director - Interested in helping fund health care in our community, Sara has board experience with the Canadian Mental Health Association and Kootenay Connections.  She is also an active and enthusiastic member of the Kinette Club of Cranbrook.  Sara is ready to roll up her sleeves for her community and the foundation.

Wes Rogers, Director - Wes' desire is to contribute to the East Kootenay in a meaningful and positive manner that will provide further services to the residents of the region.  He has numerous board experiences during his tenure at University.  Wes believes he can provide a legal perspective to the various projects and endeavours of EKFH.
