East Kootenay Foundation for Health provides funding to the East Kootenay Interior Health region. This includes the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, Creston Valley Hospital, Invermere and District Hospital, Golden and District Hospital, and the Elk Valley Hospital. We also provide funding for Kimberley, Sparwood and Elkford Health Centres, five long term care homes, and various community health care programs throughout the East Kootenay Region. It serves a catchment area of over 85,000 British Columbians.
EKFH relies on donations and gifts to provide vital, leading-edge medical equipment, and patient comforts to the East Kootenay Region. Donations can support a specific community facility; medical area of the donor’s choice or can be designated unrestricted to help areas of greatest need. Donating to EKFH helps ensure that we are able to provide up to date medical care for you, your family and friends, and your community.
Through the donations, EKFH strives to make sure the East Kootenay region is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for care and patient comfort. Well-equipped facilities help attract and keep highly-skilled medical personnel to live in East Kootenay and provide excellent medical service to East Kootenay residents.
