CELEBRATING HEALTH CARE “PHANTOM” VISITS KSCU BRANCH

Submitted by EKFH on 09-10-2014

Invermere, BC – The second annual Celebrating Health Care Phantom Campaign kicked off in the Columbia Valley on September 1 and continues through to October 31. The donation drive, a joint partnership between Kootenay Savings and the East Kootenay Foundation for Health, is billed as a “phantom” golf tournament, and will see all proceeds collected benefit the EKFH and the Invermere & District Hospital Fund.

To date over $3,200 in donations have been received, with three weeks still remaining in the campaign. On the October 31 deadline Kootenay Savings will match each and every donation made, and all donors will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a $500 Kootenay Savings term deposit.

This week representatives at the Kootenay Savings Radium branch report that a very ominous golfer took up residence in the branch in an effort to help raise the profile of the campaign. It was also overheard that the mysterious Phantom won’t discuss the fundraiser personally but instead encourages all visitors and members to talk with one of the helpful Kootenay Savings branch staff.

Donations can be made online at www.ekfh.ca, mailed to EKFH at 13 24th Ave N, Cranbrook, BC V1C 3H9 (payable to East Kootenay Foundation for Health) or at Kootenay Savings Invermere and Radium branches.
