Elk Valley Thrift Shop Society donates $10,000 towards A Warm Embrace!

East Kootenay Foundation for Health is proud to share the Elk Valley Thrift Shop Society’s recent $10,000 donation to a Warm Embrace campaign!

The Elk Valley Thrift Shop Society is a volunteer operated second hand store located in the Town Centre in Sparwood, B.C. They are a non-profit society that aims to give back to our communities and provide a clean, friendly, and organized shopping environment. They have donated over $700,000 to different community groups since their inception.

The new donation to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health will help bring a Tier 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook. Having the Tier 3 NICU at our regional hospital means more premature babies and their families are able to start off life closer to home in the East Kootenay.

EKFH is excited to see the Elk Valley Thrift Shop donation join the support for a Warm Embrace that is coming in from across the region. We are so grateful for all the hard work and generosity the Elk Valley Thrift Shop volunteers have given in support of our tiniest patients and their families.
