Golden & District Hospital Gala raised over $25,000 for portable ultrasound

It was a Moulin Rouge themed party at the Golden Civic Centre on November 15th for this year’s Golden & District Hospital Gala. The event raised over $25,000 towards a second portable ultrasound for the Golden & District Hospital.
This piece of equipment does not require specialized technicians, allowing staff and physicians to get immediate results for patients receiving care in Golden. Having a second one will improve diagnostics, treatment, and save patients from long waits for medical imaging results when they need them most.
On behalf of the East Kootenay Foundation for Health, we want to give a special shout out to our Golden organizers Lindsay Sutton, Zoe Evans, Christy Trafanako, and Ashley Gales for all their hard work to once again bring this fantastic night together again. We also want to thank all our sponsors, auction donors, attendees, volunteers, and entertainers for coming together and showing their support for health care in Golden!
