Second Annual Golden & District Hospital Gala coming on November 15th

The East Kootenay Foundation for Health and the Golden & District Hospital Gala Planning Committee are excited to announce the Golden Hospital Gala is returning for a second year!
Last year’s sold-out event brought the Roaring Twenties alive for a Great Gatsby inspired event that raised over $28,000 in support of much needed furniture and equipment upgrades at Durand Manor.
This year’s event will be held on November 15th at the Golden Civic Centre. The evening will offer live entertainment, themed décor, delicious cuisine, bespoke cocktails, a live auction and plenty of surprises inspired by the magic of Moulin Rouge. Tickets are $150 per person or $1200 per table of eight and can be purchased through www.ekfh.ca/events/goldens-gala/.
All funds raised through the event will go towards the purchase of a portable ultrasound for the Golden & District Hospital. These units do not require specialized technicians and instead can be easily operated by nurses and physicians to provide immediate results to patients who require care. This will allow staff to quickly access patient information at the bedside or in the emergency department, resulting in quicker and improved patient care.
Last year’s major event sponsors HR Pacific, Pacific Woodtech, and the Columbia Valley Credit Union are returning to support this year’s gala. We are so excited to have their ongoing support in championing this great event for health care in the area. We are also thankful for the dozens of local businesses that come together to donate live and silent auction items for the evening. New sponsors and donors are always welcome to join the cause.
