Parsons Gives Back to Community & Region

Submitted by EKFH on 22-11-2011

You may well remember the face of former Alpine Toyota owner Terry Parsons who this week made a surprise visit to East Kootenay Foundation for Health to present a $5,000 gift to Donna Grainger and Colin Sinclair (EKFH Director).

“I’ve never forgotten the people who supported me and my business venture over the years and this seemed like a perfect way to show that appreciation by making a gift to the regional hospital. The Starlite Campaign and its focus to raise funds for digital mammography seemed a good fit for me to come forward and help in a regional cause,” explains Parsons.

The 4th annual Starlite Campaign for Excellence in Health Care and its star sponsor, East Kootenay Community Credit Union will begin to light stars on November 24 through to the January 31, 2012.

The Terry Parsons star will takes its place amongst other generous donors wishing to light the 17 beautifully handcrafted stars atop the regional hospital roofline. Together the Starlite Campaign and A Clear View – digital mammography will make a difference for people who make face a breast cancer diagnosis.
