Third Annual “Phantom” Campaign Launches October 1

2015 Celebrating Health Care Phantom Campaign
Invermere, BC Building on the success of the past two years, Kootenay Savings and the East Kootenay Foundation for Health are excited to announce the launch of the Third Annual Celebrating Health Care “Phantom” Campaign!

The campaign originally came about in 2013 as a unique way to carry on the fundraising tradition of the now-defunct Celebrating Health Care Golf Tournament, and over the past two years has helped raise over $25,500 for medical equipment and patient comforts at Invermere Hospital and community health care programs in the Columbia Valley.

Donations from this year‘s campaign will benefit  local community health and nursing programs dedicated to helping those living with arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, respiratory conditions and other chronic diseases.

Past sponsors, donors, supporters and the general public are asked to support the campaign by making a donation between October 1 and November 15.  Donations can be made online at www.ekfh.ca, mailed to EKFH at 13 24th Ave N, Cranbrook, BC V1C 3H9 (payable to East Kootenay Foundation for Health)or at Kootenay Savings Invermere and Radium branches.

All donations will be matched dollar for dollar by Kootenay Savings, with all donors receiving a charitable receipt and entry into a prize draw for the chance to win a $500 Kootenay Savings term deposit.

“We’ve been very pleased with the success of the annual Phantom campaigns and are inspired by the generosity of the people of the Columbia Valley and the passion of EKFH,” explains Kootenay Savings Community Liaison, Aron Burke.  “The great part about a campaign like this is with no actual event to put on, we know that every single dollar raised will go directly towards community health programs.”
