Kimberley, BC… One of the latest fundraisers for the A Clear View – digital mammography campaign was a Hot Dog BBQ fundraiser compliment of Kimberley’s Kootenay Savings Credit Union.

The cooking prowess of managers and staff encouraged many credit union members and general passer-byers to stop for lunch helping to raise a total of $566 for the East Kootenay Foundation for Health campaign.

“Our branch is thrilled to be involved with the A Clear View ~ digital stereotactic mammography campaign. It has very special meaning for us as we recognize a number of employees and members of Kootenay Savings who have fought, or are currently fighting, breast cancer,” shares Mark Thio, Branch Manager.

Kootenay Savings and EKFH are no strangers to working together to raise much-needed funds for health care.

Over the past four years, KSCU has been the title sponsor of the Celebrating Health Care Golf Tournament in Invermere raising over $88,000 towards the Invermere District Hospital emergency and pediatrics department.

This summer on August 25 @ Copper Point, KSCU Invermere & Radium branches will present its 5th annual tournament with proceeds also dedicated to bring leading-edge technology in breast cancer care to the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

From hot dogs to hole in ones, Kootenay Savings and EKFH are dedicated to making a difference in health care in the East Kootenay.
