Celebrating Canadian Citizenship with a truly Canadian Gift

Submitted by EKFH on 27-09-2013 The 2013 Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign is coming to a close and what could be close to a story line for a Tim Hortons truly Canadian commercial is one of the last case of cookies donation.    Anthea Gill, Professional Practice Leader for the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital took her cookie giving to one from the heart as her donation to the BCSPCA in Cranbrook was also a moment to celebrate her newly awarded Canadian Citizenship on September 25.   “My passion for animals, my love for my new country and my desire to support both the East Kootenay Foundation for Health and the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary allowed me to do something fun and special for the local BCSPCA,” shares Gill.    Brenna Baker the new General Manager at the BCSPCA was excited about the visit and the gift as the chunky chocolate cookies which are going to be baked up for volunteers who generously give of their time. While doing the delivery a tour of the facility was in order and just like her passion for health care Anthea will soon become one of the newest volunteers at the shelter.   If you interested in also volunteering call Brenna at 426-6751.   Giving back, saying thanks, surprising and just because makes the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign one of the most enjoyable FUNdrasiers for health care.
