Denham Ford’s “Shoot for the Truck” is Back

Submitted by EKFH on 22-03-2013 Cranbrook, BC…    The thoughts of sinking a puck into a hockey net to win a beautiful Ford truck seems like a long shot but last year Cranbrook’s Marion Dixon did just that as part of Denham Ford’s fundraising event for the East Kootenay Foundation for Health.   “The experience and thrill of awarding a truck to Marion was wonderful so we decided to do it again this year,” shares Braydon Denham, owner of the local Ford outlet.   Kootenay ICE fans that make a donation to Denham and EKFH at the Wednesday, March 27 playoff game will receive a ticket for a name draw and chance to go to center ice and to take a try to “Shoot for the Truck”.    Denham Ford is proudly donating the funds received on game night to the East Kootenay Foundation for Health to be allocated to their area of greatest need fund.   Last year’s “Shoot for the Truck” event raised over $3,000 for the recently completed digital mammography campaign.   So hockey fans come out and cheer on the Kootenay ICE and its players who have set another WHL record for fifteen straight years in the playoffs.   Maybe it will be your chance to “Shoot for the Truck” too.      Denham Ford, Kootenay ICE and EKFH…. together our hearts are in it for health care.        -30 –
