NAPA Colleagues Remember John Dixon with $2,360 Starlite Gift to EKFH

Submitted by EKFH on 18-11-2014

Cranbrook, BC…. EKFH’s is weeks away from the launch of the 2014 Starlite Campaign and recently the foundation received one of its most precious Starlite Gifts.

A few months ago franchise owners and managers from NAPA Auto Parts dealerships in Southern Alberta and BC gathered at the St Eugene Mission Resort for its inaugural John Dixon Memorial Golf Tournament. The group, joined by family and friends, came to golf, laugh and share memories of a man who gave much to his community through his affiliation with the NAPA organization.

“John was such an influence to many of us who had the opportunity to work with him. Our NAPA family wanted to take a moment to honour our friend,” explains Josh Braithwaite, NAPA Banners & Major Account Coordinator. “We all miss him terribly.”

The Dixon family is no stranger to supporting EKFH and now with NAPA’s gift the tradition continues with a gift of $2,360 being dedicated to equipment for the new 6-bed intensive care unit presently under construction at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

The 7th annual Starlite Campaign begins November 28 and continues through to 31 January 2014. To make a donation to a hospital or health care facility in your community or support EKFH’s fundraising effort of $1 million for equipment for the ICU, please donate on-line @ For more information on the work of EKFH, call Donna Grainger, Executive Director at 1-877-489-6481 or 250 489-6481.
