NHL Jerseys up for Silent Auction for Shoot for the Star

Submitted by EKFH on 12-01-2010

East Kootenay Foundation for Health is hosting a silent bid auction outside their foundation office at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.   To place a bid people will select the jersey they wish to bid on, place the dollar amount bid and complete the bid form and enter it into the lock box.   If people from outside the Cranbrook area wish to place a bid they can do so by sending an email to [email protected].   All bids remain in confidence until the box opening. Minimum starting bid is $200.

L-R:  Local physicians Dr. Charles Casselman ((Anesthesiology),), Dr. Keith Lowden (Family Practice/Oncology) and Dr. Jonathan Chaney (Orthopedic Surgeon) join Donna Grainger, EKFH Executive Director in modelling autographed NHL jerseys from Curtis Glencross (Calgary Flames-23 signatures), Rob Niedermayer (New Jersey Devils-23 signatures), Henrk Sedin (Vancouver Canucks-solo signature) and Jarret Stoll (LA Kings-solo signature) in support of Matt Fraser.

On February 1,2010 EKFH will open the lock box.  If there are no bids on the items at this date, EKFH reserves the right to extend the auction period.  The individual or organization with the highest bid on each individual jersey will be declared the winner.  If there are two identical bids on the same jersey, the bid made on the earliest date will be declared the winner.

All proceeds from the NHL Jersey auction will benefit the Matt Fraser & Denny’s Shoot for the Star fundraiser as part of the foundation’s Starlite Campaign for Excellence in Health Care.  As of January 12 the campaign has raised $59,470.77 for health care in the East Kootenay.
