Photo details:   Donna Grainger, East Kootenay Foundation for Health (center) receives a cheque of $643 from Deb Graham, event coordinator of the Pink Garden Tea. Sharing in the celebration are Creston Hospital’s Shirley Mercier, Acute Health Service Administrator (left) and Carolyn Hawton, Patient Care Coordinator Acute Care.    Deb has been organizing the event over the past three years to help support breast cancer patients living in the Creston area.   This year Deb and her committee decided to expand the event to two days (July 27 & 28) and to direct their funds to the A Clear View ~ digital mammography campaign.   Deb’s home garden was transformed into a welcome retreat for tea lovers and featured an array of teas from New York, made with love crepes and fruit skewers, plus a chance to shop at the tea market boutique for a variety of items such as teas, books, angels and hand creams.   Also showing their support was a quilt presentation by Carmen Lancaster (cancer survivor), sales of a special edition watercolour tea cup giclee by Creston artist Laura Leeder and book signing and sales by author Valerie Comer.     The Pink Garden Tea…. a part of the picture of the A Clear View campaign. For more information please visit www.ekfh.ca
