RBC $15,000 Critical Support for Intensive Care
Submitted by EKFH on 16-12-2014
Cranbrook, BC…. For any major corporation community investment is not just something nice to do it is part of the culture of its vision and mandate. For RBC and its Foundation that investment has definitely included health care right here in the East Kootenay.
The Cranbrook & Creston branches of RBC are no strangers to supporting the EKFH and its mission. For the past several years the financial institution has participated fully in the foundation’s annual holiday giving program the Starlite Campaign. RBC has often provided support funding for many items for health care that are not the usual pieces of medical equipment but rather support for the behind the scenes area of care such as operating rooms, surgical departments and diagnostic imaging needs. There are also times when their charitable giving can do a miracle with some of the most basic of needs such as a fleet of wheelchairs in 2013.
“RBC is committed to helping improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities; we are proud to be long-time supporters of the Hospital Foundation and honoured to work with other community members to support hospital staff and their vital work,” Maureen Foxworthy, RBC Branch Manager Cranbrook.
This year with 3 stars to brighten the roofline at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, RBC branches and the RBC Foundation are gifting $15,000 to EKFH. The generous gift will join with others to build the $1,000,000 needed to critically support equipment for the intensive care unit.
“It is very powerful when organizations such as RBC continue to support our fundraising efforts, “ says Donna Grainger, EKFH Executive Director. “The ability to build and bring the best in technology to the new ICU will offer the best care possible in the only intensive care unit in the East Kootenay.”
The generosity of donors continues to light up stars whether it is for community facilities or the regional hospital. Your gift can help light a path for others and strengthen health care in your community. To make a donation please visitwww.ekh.ca.
