Kinsmen Club of Cranbrook donates $1,000 for Oximeter

Submitted by EKFH on 14-06-2010

May 6th, 2010 …The Kinsmen donation is being used to purchase an oximeter for the Kimberley Health Unit.

An oximeter is used for patients that require assessments for home oxygen followed by assessments for obstructive sleep apnea. Prior to this donation, there were only four overnight oximeters that are used for the entire East Kootenays. Wait time for these oximeters is variable and relies on the demand for home oxygen assessments.

Details L-R: Donna Grainger, EKFH Executive Director accepts a gift of $1,000 from Mike Paugh, representative for the Kinsmen Club of Cranbrook.
