Kinette Club of Cranbrook Wraps Up

In August of this year, the Kinette Club of Cranbrook decided to start the process of closing down their service organization with a focus of banding with the Kinsmen Club to form the new Kin Club of Cranbrook.

Part of the process of closing out a service club includes depleting bank accounts and thanks to this dynamic group of woman the benefactor of those final funds ($1,500) was to make a donation to members of the Kootenay ICE and their quest to light a star for mammography as part of the Starlite Campaign for Excellence in Health Care.

“As we say goodbye to our Kinette Club we wanted to make our last gift in support of woman and children so the digital stereotactic mammography unit was a perfect choice. We also wanted to get behind “our Kin Club mission of “Serving the Community’s Greatest Need”. Drew, Max and Jesse are trying to do that too so we are thrilled to help them on their way to light that star,” explains President Crystal Kenyon.

This is the second gesture of community spirit as the Kin Club donated a leadership gift of $1,000 for East Kootenay Foundation for Health’s “A Clear View – digital mammography campaign”.
